To establish learning environment to reinforce civil engineer who shall maintain professional integrity to serve society with knowledge and skill acquired.

M1: To impart sound theoretical and practical knowledge in the discipline of Civil Engineering, through effective teaching and learning process.
M2: To produce industry and society oriented skillful engineers through co-curricular activities.
M3: To inculcate the moral values amongst students through extra-curricular activities.

  • 1. Department primarily is focused on generating valuable civil engineers who will benefit the society and industry as well.
  • 2. To impart sound theoretical and practical skills amongst students and developing them professionally to serve the nation ethically.

  • Provide socially responsible, environment friendly solutions to Civil engineering related broad-based problems adapting professional ethics.

  • Solve broad-based problems individually and as a team member communicating effectively in the world of work.

  • Construction Planning and Designing: Perform optimal civil engineering construction, planning and designing activities of desired quality at optimal cost.
  • Construction Execution and Maintenance: Execute civil engineering construction and maintenance using relevant materials and equipment.

  • Basic knowledge: An ability to apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering to solve the engineering problems.
  • Discipline knowledge: An ability to apply disciplines - specific knowledge to solve core and/or applied engineering problems.
  • Experiments and practice: An ability to plan and perform experiments and practices and to use the results to solve engineering problems.
  • Engineering Tools: Apply appropriate technologies and tools with an understanding of the Limitations.
  • The engineer and society: Demonstrate knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to engineering practice.
  • Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge and need for sustainable development.
  • Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
  • Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse/multidisciplinary teams.

Environmental Laboratory

Environmental lab is utilized by the diploma students for Public Health Engineering as in third year. Lab has total cost of 1,68,857/-. Major equipment in this Laboratory are BOD Incubator, COD apparatus, Spectrophotometer, digital DO meter, Floculator ect.

Surveying Laboratory

This laboratory since its inception to the Civil Department carries instruments right from Dumpy Level to advanced Total Station to cater the need of syllabus for diploma students from Second and First year engineering. The laboratory is equipped with instruments like Optical One Second Theodolite and Electronic Total station to be at par with the need of global education system. Total cost of the lab is 6,54,825/-.

Strength of Material Laboratory

Strength of Material lab is equipped with some major instruments like Universal Testing Machine having capacity 10000 tonne and Compression Testing Machine having 1000 tonne. This lab setup adequately caters to the academic requirements of Diploma students. The setup can also be utilized for consultancy work regarding testing of different material such as Steel, Concrete, etc. Total cost of lab is 1149870/-

Concrete Technology Laboratory

Experiments of Advances concrete technology for Concrete Technology (TY Civil) are performed. Utilized for Research Project of diploma Students. Spacious well equipped laboratory with provision of safety equipment like fire extinguisher, first aid box etc. Consultancy of Testing material i.e.Cement, Aggregate, Steel, bricks ,concrete cubes and Concrete mix design are done. Total cost of lab is 1,42,286/-
