Parent-Student-Teacher Meeting 2024
Event Day & Date: Thursday, 7th March 2024.
Venue: Jayawant Sabhagrah, Jayawantrao Sawant Polytechnic, Hadapsar, Pune-28.
Time: 9.00 am onwards.
Objective of the event: Automation & Robotics department of JSPM’s Jayawantrao Sawant Polytechnic, Hadapsar, Pune-28 organized Parents Teachers Meeting of Even semester A.Y.2023-2024 on 7/3/2024. The main objective of the meeting was to create a common platform, where teachers and parents come together to discuss student’s performance and devise ways to enrich their learning experience. The parents were intimated about the meeting well in advance through GFM Co-ordinators. To promote understanding and cooperation between members of the college and parents regarding college life, work and social service. To maintain better relationship between parents and teachers for betterment of the students.
Activities during the event: To make parents feel a ‘sense of ownership’ and address them equally as partners in the betterment of their child’s learning outcomes, JSPM’s Jayawantrao Sawant Polytechnic (JSP) conducts regular Parent Teacher Meetings every semester to discuss about the student’s performance and progress. JSP believes open communication and interaction between guardians and teachers is essential in order to set students on the path to success. HOD Dr.Chandankar V.M. introduced parents with the Vision and JSPM’s JAYAWANTRAO SAWANT POLYTECHNIC, Handewadi Road, Hadapsar, Pune-28 Department of Automation and Robotics Academic Year 2023-24 Activity Report Mission of the institute and the departments along with anti-ragging rules, activities organized at institute level & department level, attendance criteria, focus on quality education, library facilities and general criteria & features of the institute. They also highlighted the Institute’s best practice for effective teaching learning process and how it helps placement and higher studies. Parents interacted one to one with Class teacher Ms.Jadhav S.R., GFM Ms.Pawar P.M. & Mrs.Thorat V.S., HOD Dr.Chandankar V.M. provided specific guidelines and suggestions for each student during the meeting with the parents. The guidelines were primarily focused on students’ performance in classroom and exams. The parents were informed about the students' performance during the Mid Semester Exam and preparation for upcoming MSBTE examination. Discussion was focused on student’s specific strengths and weaknesses in individual subjects and student discipline in classrooms. Apart from the usual discussion on ward’s progress, attendance, improvisation and challenges, GFM’s interacted with parents to make them aware of the ward’s current learning process. Parents’ suggestions on the interests and learning of their wards were noted.
Outcomes of Parent Teachers Meeting: From Automation & Robotics department total 55 parents out of 59 were participated in the PSTM of even Semester 2023-24.
- One to One Interaction between Parents and Class Teachers, GFM with the student centric.
- Discussion was focused on student’s specific strengths and weakness in individual subjects, various activities performed at department, administration and academics activities at department and institute.
- Parents Feedback and stakeholder Hardcopy was taken for reference. Parents expressed their happiness for having their ward studying in our esteemed institute. They also expressed their gratitude regarding the care taken by the institute for the Growth of their wards.
- Parents became aware of the institute’s rules and regulations, methodologies of teaching & learning for the overall welfare of students.
- Also Parents has given valuable suggestions and feedback.Program concluded with vote of thanks and Vande Mataram proposed by Mrs.Thorat V.S.,She expressed gratitude towards Management,Campus Director & Principal for their support and guidance.
