Goals

To maintain a high standard of mechanical engineering education through outstanding teaching and research training that reflect the changing needs of society. Increase interaction and collaboration with industry. To increase the number of students placed. To encourage students for entrepreneurship. To encourage the faculty of the department to engage in relevant research programs. To provide consultancy services to the Industry on latest technologies. To increase the public awareness of Departmental activities and the Mechanical Engineering profession.

Strengths

Well Qualified, trained and dedicated teaching staff. Department is working on outcome base teaching-learning process. Department has good interaction with industry for in-plant training, guest lectures, visits, MoUs and placement. Department has good laboratories and equipment. Teaching staff is engaged in publishing papers in National as well as International Journals and books. Department is producing good academic results continuously. Department is achieving Excellent remarks in Academic Monitoring continuously for last five years. Department has maintained good teacher- student and teacher – parents bonding. Fully Wi-Fi Department with separate Internet and CAD laboratory.

  • Modern Software Usage: Use latest Mechanical engineering related software’s for simple design, drafting, manufacturing, maintenance and documentation of mechanical engineering components and processes.
  • Equipment and Instruments: Maintain equipment and instruments related to Mechanical Engineering.
  • Mechanical Engineering Processes: Manage Mechanical engineering processes by selecting and scheduling relevant equipment, substrates, quality control techniques, and operational parameters.
  • Basic knowledge: An ability to apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering to solve the engineering problems.
  • Discipline knowledge: An ability to apply disciplines - specific knowledge to solve core and/or applied engineering problems.

  • Department of Mechanical Engineering has arranged “ISTE Student Chapter Inauguration Ceremony” on 24/08/2018. This Event was conducted under the guidance of Principal Dr. S. M. Deokar, HOD of Mechanical Engg. Department Prof. A. D. Sable and Prof Mr. V. R. Patil for ISTE student.
  • Apart from this students got the awareness about Indian Society for Technical Education. Brief discussion about events conducted under ISTE student chapter. Also the ISTE Membership certificate is distributed in the event.
